Episode Summary

In the second part of this conversation with Paul Sponcia and Elaine Streno of Second Harvest Foodbank, Elaine talks more of her personal life leading the organization from a small non-profit with a $350,00 budget to the very large organization that it is today. She also shared what are the things she’s most proud of, as well as the hardest lessons she learned while growing the organization and managing people. Elaine talks about how the food feeding programs and the rescue program, how it started, who the beneficiaries are, and where the organization is up to now. Additionally, Elaine narrates what happened to them during the pandemic and the historical donation they received that saved the future of their operations even during COVID-19.
